Overall
Overall, I thought that this assignment was alright. It wasn’t as fun compared to the Photoshop assignment or film assignment but it was still fun! I think that I could have used my time more wisely. I think that I spent too much time on the trailer. Some other people have way more pages than me, but it is alright because the minimum is 5. Although I summited it in time and at what I think is a high standard, it would have been good to be given some extra time to add a few more pages. I could have added some information abouut my characters and my about me (the director and writter) and I was thinking at the end that my film could have been a sequel which means that could have done alot more on my website. But too late for that!
What frustrated me the most was when I borrowed out a laptop and the charger didn’t work. If I were to do this assignment again, I would first make my film longer and more complicated so that I had more to talk about in my website. But I think that my research was good and that it helped me in making my own website which is showed in some of the little small extra things that are in the website. But overall, I am happy with what I handed in and at least it wasnt as boring as English or History!
Synopsis
Like I said, The synopsis was pretty hard, but this is what the final product!
A Fat Hungry Fish, a story film about a man out fishing by him becomes a film no one has ever seen before. It is a tale that explains why you should stay away from unknown deserted pounds out in the middle of no where! You never know what could be lurking behind a fish or if an old mythical creature will jump out of the water as soon as it senses danger. Or how about an extinct species or something that no one else has ever seen before! A Fat Hungry Fish – The adventure of a lone fisherman.
When I was writing this, It reminded me of that Simpsons fish with heaps of eyes! Just thought i'd let you know!;)

Home
I opened up my website at home and it still worked! Im pretty proud of myself, except for the fact that the font on the bottom of each page is the wrong font that I used! Oh No! I hope it doenst look that way for Mr P! Maybe it is just because that font was on the macs and I am on a PC - But all the other fonts work! Gah! oh well, Too late now!
Handing in Lesson
It was pretty scary when I finally handed in my assignment! Mr P said that we could hand it in on Monday if we really wanted to, but because he had already stressed me out that it was due on Thursday, I had it done on Thursday. Previously on Monday, I thought I had a whole week to work on it and finish it and I was going to do it on the weekend but then he sprung that on us and I had to finish it before Thursday! But then on the date it is due he says we actually have until Monday :| That was annoying! But I handed it in anyway. Mr P just showed us how to hand it in and we compressed it into an actual website! Which was pretty cool! I went to my website and opened it up and made sure all the buttons worked and it was really exciting and surprising that I actually made it and that it worked!
Reviews
Oh, also I was going to do a reviews page and I actually started to make the page but then I realized that a movie that no one has seen wouldn’t have any reviews! I was pretty devastated at that because I wanted to write something good about my website!

Wednesday before the assignment is due (on Thursday)
I borrowed out a laptop again just to make sure everything is alright to hand in tomorrow. I checked out the charger in my form room to make sure it works and it did thank goodness! Anyway, I re checked and re checked and re checked by website and then I realized that I could change my trailer because I have enough time! I got the green screening time from a real movie trailer and then just pasted it into the front of my trailer. I then saved this and swapped it with the one on my website.
I also went onto the Inception website (http://inceptionmovie.warnerbros.com/) and had a look at everything that they had on their website. I ended up adding a Facebook button, home page picture, countdown and red carpet video. For the Facebook button, I copied and pasted the picture from the Inception website. This was easy because the Inception website was also black (which got me thinking, what program do they make their websites on and I wonder if they are similar!) 2 796 101 people like ‘A Fat Hungry Fish’! (Or, 2 796 101 people on Facebook like Inception!) I also just put a little sentence on the home page saying that were going to be a red carpet experience!
When searching the net for a picture for the home page I found the one that I was going to use. I started searching for other icons to put onto the website instead of the words. I found a film camera for the trailer and camera for the photos but then it looked weird because some of the links had pictures and the others didn’t. So I ended up just using one picture for the home page.
When I was just looking at iWeb, I saw that you could add widgets. And one of them was a countdown! Which I thought was pretty cool so I added a countdown for my film. I used the poster and cropped out the bottom bit of words and replaced it with the countdown. I added another picture so that the people would have two different pictures to choose from. I like this idea and thought it was pretty cool until I got to school and found out that someone else (I forgot who) had the same idea as me and they have a countdown too!
Photoshop
When I was using Photoshop, I learnt some more stuff to add to my knowledge! I learnt that you can actually make your whole picture bigger (I learnt this myself!!!) This way it is not as blurry when you enlarge it on the website as if you were to make it small on Photoshop and then big on the website.
Finished
So now I had my basic five pages but they looked a bit bland. To spice them up a bit I put another picture onto the Synopsis page and added ‘A Fat Hungry Fish’ title onto each page. Underneath the title I added what the page contained in a different colour. All the colours on my website and film (the writing) is either yellow or blue. I kept using these colours and the same font all throughout the website. I showed Mr P and he said that to make the pictures not so bolded – take it into Photoshop and smudge or do something to the edges of the photos to make them blend in with the background. Because my background website was black, I just used a brush to paint over the edges of the picture roughly. After I did this I really liked it because it made my website more soft looking. I used this technique in the ‘Photo Page’ as well. I think that this technique is very valuable and it didn’t take that long either!
Mr P also told me that I should put some pictures on the side of the website but I tried to do that and the website is kinda cut off at the edges. It is hard to explain, but I would have looked weird if I did what he said. Also I was running out of pictures and I didn’t know what other pictures to use because they would be the same pictures on the photo page!
Photo Page!
Unlike choosing the other photos, I found choosing the photos for this certain page easy. I chose a still capture from each of the scenes. This was easy because when I was making my film I saved all the pictures into a file just in case it didn’t save and if I needed to put them in order again. I added these photos and was finished in a flash!
Friday Night
I take that back. I will blog again. Because I borrowed out a laptop over the weekend and I was doing my assignment tonight and then I realized I had like 3% battery and it went really fast because I had like 100% and then it went down really fast! Anyway, I went to go and charge it but the silly charger didn’t work! So basically, I didn’t get anything done because I was just taking my time because I had the whole of Saturday to do it. But know I can’t do creative media again for the SECOND WEEKEND in a row because the charger won’t work! This is really making me angry! This is not a good start to my weekend!
Weekend
It’s Halloween on Sunday! Happy Halloween! (I probably won’t blog again!) This weekend I am borrowing a laptop so that I can hopefully finish my whole website. I actually have some spare time to do creative media! Yay!
Home Page
I then realized that I had to have a home page! Once again it was difficult to choose a picture that would be at the start of my website. I chose something welcoming – one of the first scenes of the man waving to the camera. The hand was a bit wonky so I put it into Photoshop and made it more straight and ‘waving hand’ looking. I put this on the home page of my website and then I added ‘ENTER SITE’ to the picture because from researching movies websites they always have ‘enter site’. Also Mr P said we should include those words. I had to ask Mr P if I could have a picture as a hyperlink (and of course I could!) he showed me how to do it and then I made my home page picture an enter site button as well as the words a hyperlink just in case!
Lesson after
After the lesson I made the website, I started on the synopsis which was hard. I didn’t know what to say! I added a little bit of commentary in there and then more about the story plot. It was so hard to write and not give anything away! I finally finished and this only took me one lesson to complete.
Website
After I had completed the poster and most of my trailer, I started to make my website. The fact that I hadn’t started my website scared me because I thought it was going to take a long time. But actually, because I had done the trailer and the poster it didn’t take that long to make a page for the poster and a page for the trailer and then add a few more pages.

I don’t know what to do for my poster! What photo should I use?! What should I say on it!? Haha. I looked at some other posters and found that the pictures were simple, sometimes had a quote or a line that is intriguing about the story line. They also always have that bit of writing down the bottom which says who is in the movie, who produced it, what the movie is and all of that technical stuff. I remember talking about this in class ages ago and we were saying how the font is always really small because no one ever really reads it. I thought that this would be really cool if I had that bit of writing down the bottom of my poster! So I looked at a poster and wrote down everything that I wanted in my poster. I had to make up some of the production companies and such. For the company name, I thought that it would look weird if it was just my name so I wrote my name backwards. It looks pretty cool and could be a really company! (AHSILA) For the ‘In association with…’ I made up another name. I used my middle name ’Rochelle’ but mixed up the letters a bit so no one would actually know what it means (ELLECH). For the production company, I used a different name also. I was just going through some words in my head and randomly came up with LANUM. My favourite name is Ellech because it just looks pretty cool! When I was typing it out, the macs did not have the font that wanted to use (Agency FB) which looks very similar to what the poster use. They always seem to have the same font and it is always squishy and small. I couldn’t find that so I just used the Blair font that I used for the rest of my film. Also, in the posters the words are always in capitals so naturally, mine were in capitals too.
I said that the film was my ME! And the actors and actresses were Sarah, Meghna and Izzy. I also put my mum in there because she helped me along the way too. In my movie, the singing was actually done my Sarah so I put her name in for music. I said that it was edited, produced and written and directed by Alisha Seeto J!
For my picture, I chose a character that I thought was pretty cool and was more interesting than my other character. I thought that this picture is interesting compared to some of the other pictures that I could have used. Also, the film is called ‘A Fat Hungry Fish’ so I thought it was only natural that the poster picture was of a fat fish that is actually in the movie. The fish is not seen until halfway through the film which is also good because people will be wanted to see the fish, but they will have to wait and watch it until they can see it again! So the poster was pretty easy because all I had to do was crop the picture of the fish and then add the title ‘A Fat Hungry Fish’ up the top with the font that I used for the rest of the video and website and then added the bit of writing down the bottom. And then… DONE! I actually found the poster really fun because it looked really professional and cool when it was finished! Here are some of the posters that I looked at for advice -
Worried
So I have been spending a lot of time on m trailer and now I am worried that I will not have enough time to finish my assignment! I am going to borrow out a laptop over the weekend but I don’t know if I will use it because I have heaps of other subjects that I have to study for that are due next week and creative media isn’t due until like 3 weeks. 3 weeks is a long time but not long enough! I need more time! Haha. We haven’t been given a set date yet which means that it could be earlier or later than what I expected.

Trailer
I showed my trailer to some of my friends and they told me what I needed to change and what they thought was good. I recorded my voice and Sarah’s voice in us saying the lines in the film. I ended up using my voice. I used garageband to change our voices so that we were deeper and more man like. I added this in and then my trailer sounded better. I wanted to have that green bit before all the trailers and movies have but I didn’t know where to find one. I was thinking about it and then I realized that I have some trailers at home which I could ‘steal’ their green starting screens! I just have to find the time to do this. If I don’t have time, I will just leave my trailer like it is now.
Starting Lesson
So basically like all the other terms, we are working individually on our websites and as long as we work quietly Mr P doesn’t bother us :)
I have started to make my trailer which is taking longer than expected. Because my video is only 30 seconds, it was hard to make a trailer without putting the whole short film in there. I ended up using some of the scenes from the video and then added in words for the other part. For research, I tried to remember other trailers I had watched and what they had in them and what they didn’t have in them. After I had my basic plan with the film clips and words, I went searching for a Jaws sound effect which was reasonably easy to find (because I saved the website that I had used for my sound effects for my film). I have the Jaws music playing almost the whole way through the trailer with different volume adjustments.

This lesson we learnt all about iWeb. I didnt even realize that the application was on the macs already! We made a trailer page and home page fr meghnas video. We leanrt how to make hyperlinks. We know how to make an 'Enter Site'. This is pretty amazing - it is so easy to make a website! haha. (i hope i dont regret saying this!)
Today we are going to practise making pages and putting links and photos into the pages!

Lesson 2
In this lesson, Mr P said that we have 6 weeks to do our assignment. He said that he would not give us an impossible task for 12 weeks to finish it in 6 weeks. That is good news :) But he also said that if we talk for half the lesson, we would only have 3 weeks to do an assignment that takes 6 weeks! (which is common sense but I dint really think about it that way!)
We are now on Lady Gaga's official Website. She has heaps of hits! Heaps and heaps and heaps! like 100 000 000! and even more! Once again, we talked about the 3-click rule and the logo on the top left corner. Black, white and red are her signature and they have also kept this on the website. Facebook, twitter and MySpace is also their so that people can follow her in a more easier website. Oh, He also said that the home page is usually on a movie page or a famous persons official page! As in 'Enter the Site'!
Next – we looked up Harry Potter ☺ I like harry potter! Haha. Mr P also told us that it is unreal that most of the characters have stayed the same (actors wise). In the case of Dumbledore, who died, but because he had so many white beards and hair, he was easy to replace. But if Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, Rupet Grint or any other of the top characters changed, the public would no have been very impressed. They might have lost customers because a new Harry, or Hermione or Ron would have been bad. It would no have looked the same and people like the old actors/actresses. This reminds me of the twilight saga. In the third movie, the character of Victoria was swapped in the third movie. She was in the first 2 movies and was replaced with another actress. When I found out, I was really really angry because I thought I liked the other person better. But in the end I didn’t really care and the new actress grew on me ☺ The expectation to this is James Bond. Over all in the approximately 20 movies, there have only been 5 actors. This would have been funny if an old man played the whole James Bond in an action film. We talked about the harry potter poster on the website. We said that you know that it is harry because of his glasses and his scare and because it has HP7 down the bottom. Mr P said striking and simple sometimes works best.
Term 4 :)
We are making websites!!
On the first lesson of his term, we went though what we wanted to achieve and what our marks represented. Mr Crawley came into class. We looked up things such as cats and trees to see that most of the time the logo of the website is always on the top left hand side. This is usually the case in English websites because our 21st century eye always goes up to the top left of the page to start reading. This is actually true! I tried it and I was like whoa! haha.
We also learnt about the 3 click rule. This means that in your website, anyone should be able to get anywhere they want and get the information from your website in 3 clicks or less. Mr P said that most people are impatience with the Internet and that if they cant find what they need in 3 clicks, they go back to google or their search engine.
We also found out that our website wont actually be on the Internet. It will be on our USB. I kinda wish that we our website would be real, but sometimes I don't. But i guess I don't really have a choice! :P

Reflection
What worked for me?
I liked that I could work freely and not have Mr P on my back all the time. I liked editing it and making the sound in my own pace. I also liked getting my friends opinions and thoughts on every part of my video so that I could change anything that they didnt like. I also liked how we used the 'rush' because I added in the burp and laughing that everyone wanted to include.
What gave me trouble?
My filming was the worst. It took me alonggg time to film and it was very fustrating!
How did I change things along the way? Why?
Throughout the term, I did not change anything about my film. I kept it all the same. I have to admit though, I didnt plan to have this sound and have to get someone record it for me, although I like it!
What did I learn? Techniques?
I leanrt alot like how to chnage a video into a quicktime, what settings to put videos in, what videos to save it as if I want to work on it again and what to save it on if I wanted to finish it. I also learnt how to edit videos by adding sound, credits and adding o ther videos and scenes. I leanrt how to use stop-motion, imovie, animationish, garage band and other programs. I have also learnt how to embed movies onto my blogger and how to analyze and read into a movie or shot film.
Group work?
At the start, Mr P said that we should not be sitting in groups and instead be sitting indivudals. I did not do this, but I have completed it. Even though me and my friends sat in groups, we didnt talk and did our work. We would listen to our ipods and would not make a sound. Although we started to get restless at the end and started to laugh alot and talk more.
Blog up-to-date?
I have to admit, I havnt been up to date with my blog. I have tried to document everything, but of course I have missed some of the information and everything. oopsies! I think that I should try and undate evry week next term (although I have done better than some people!)
Saving method?
I had a very good saving method. About once a fortnight, I would save all my work onto my school drive. Although, every day, I saved the file as another name on my USB. And also, at the end, I have saved it onto my USB, school drive and home drive. I havnt lost anything which is good!
Final result?
I am happy with my final result. I think that I planned everything out very well. I do not think that this would have worked and turned out as good if I didnt plan it out well. I like my credits, sounds and what my actual video looked like. The only thing that I do not like about my video is that during one of the walking scenes, I had to edit it and cut a little bit of the video out because otherwise yo uwould have seen a bit of my hand or the background would not have been as white.
Last week
So this week is our final week. And I was lucky enough to finish my assignment the week before camp. I am just going to be updating my blog and everything this week.
Like I said, I finished 2 weeks ago so I am really happy for myself. I think that I have done really well. When I finished I was so relieved! I have changed it into a Quicktime video which means that on Thursday, I am all ready to hand it in without any worries :)
Last week
It just hit me that we only have this week to work on our assignment! 0:
But its alllll good. Because Alisha has been a good girl and has finished her video, her sound, her credits. And now all she has to do is think of a name and add that to the start :)
I am very proud of my self for actually finishing it on time - stress free! But it has been really annoying me becasue I cannot think of a name that suits my film. Ive thought of some random names, and they just dont go. Ive had some suggestions. Here are some of the titles that have come up

- the adventures of the fishing man
- down in the meadow
- fishy
- fish and chips
- man + fish
I still have to decide!
Sound
So I have been working on my sound for ages and have been trying to think of a song to play in the background. I asked my friends and they told me to use a song that they would sing. So I asked them if they would actually want to sing in my video and they aggreeed so we went out side to recored it. Meghna, Izzy and Sarah were singing and we were trying out different vocal sounds so that they sound like a man. They also sang individually, and in the end i chose to use Sarah's recording because it actually sounded like a man. When I put it with my video, I found that the song was too long for the part that i wanted it to play for, so I had to edit it by cutting out the last bit, and it sounds really good! I have also found a burping sound for the fish and footsteps for the man when he is walking. I do not know if I am going to use the footsteps though. I have to make that decision later. I have also found a chomping sound for when the fish eats the man. When I play it back, it looks and sounds really good, except that I do not know if I want to add any other sounds in the silent areas. Does it sound like an awkward silence? Or does it sound good? I will have to ask my friends and find out!

2. In the film ‘Factory’ there were a variety of objects and shapes included in the video such as in the starting scene was a large factory with business like people with briefcases walking into the factory with smoke coming out. The scene then moved upwards to the top of the building and towards the sky and we saw more smoke and two blimps with sea ships attached to them. We then get to look at the inside of the factory, and are looking at the inside of an office with a lot of cupboards, files and cluttered objects such as computers, floorboards and a microwave. People are walking past this office and walking into what it would seem to be another office or different section of the factory. These people are still holding briefcases. On the very right hand side is a small closed up office with a lady sitting there working. This space takes up half of the screen area and is mostly black which contrasts against the white. Out of the ordinary is a mechanical hand (which you might find at a toy machine) coming in and grabbing nothing and then dropping it somewhere else at the top of the screen. We then get to look into the little right cornered office where the lady was working before, except this time we are close up, and can now see that the lady is working on multiple computers with different sets of keyboards. We can also see that there is a printer and other electrical equipment. Another person is looking through a window at the woman and what she is doing. She then walks away as another person takes her spot. Could these people be the same people that were walking past the big office before? We are then taken to a rather unusual scene where you can see two men with wrenches playing with some screws on machines. In the top right hand corner, it seems to be either a camera or binoculars. The man on the left is using his whole body to work the wrench and he is going faster and faster as the machine keeps pumping. The other man is merely using his hand. We then come across another man using something that looks like a wrench, but I don’t think it is. He is using that instrument to pump a similar machine as to the other man in the other scene. But in this scene a blender is on and making sound. This whole video was in black and white and had no one talking. However, the meaning was clear as the sounds of machines were clearly heard and recognized. The subject matter of this video is that of a factory with different mechanicals and jobs inside it to keep the factory going and alive. My over all impression of the mood of the work is that the people working in the factory do not like working there. I think this because the video is in black and white which could mean that the people are not happy. If the people were happy they could be shown in a more vibrant and colourful way. I also think that the people are being worked too hard and that everyone is treated the same which means that it is boring because everyone wears the same thing and acts the same way. It makes me feel gloomy, sad and unhappy for the people inside the factory. In the movie, you can straight away tell that the picture of the factory was the background and the smoke and people walking into the building were edited in (in the foreground). You can then hear the sound of a machine going off in the background somewhere. The blimps have also been edited in. You can then see that the hand has been filmed and then edited into a different program. You can also hear the sound of the hand. Next, you can hear the sounds of the key boards typing and buttons beeping in the person’s office. After this you can hear the machines pumping with the men with the wrenches and finally hear the food blender go off in the last scene. All of these things have been edited in with sound cues and visual effects to create this video.
4. My interpretation of the work is that the artist is trying to show everyone how much work goes into a factory or really anything in the world. There are little people who work hard for the big people. Sometimes the small people do not get recognized and nobody thinks about them. I think that it also trying to make people understand that it’s not always sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. In this video it is black and white and dull – not very happy in this factory! I think the intended audience for Matreyeks work would be anyone from teens to adults. Matreyek has some odd ideas and they need to be old enough to understand and appreciate Matreyek’s techniques. The visual language such as size, shape, tone and colour help inform my interpretation of a gloomy factory by being black and white, and not being colourful and cheerful at all. Matreyek has used sound with the animation images to create meaning by in the last scene, created the actual sound of the blender. It adds the emphasis that the people are actually doing hard work. This factory is loud, and the people working in there are angry that they don’t get recognized and because this is their job and they are stuck there. With the animation of someone working really hard, and the sounds of machines going off in the background represent the same meaning as a factory.
What Anusuya said: I think it is showing how people’s lives repeat itself everyday. I feel like it is very slow and boring.
What Gabby said: My interpretation is that the artist is trying to say that many workers live boring, repetitive lives and they will stay that way unless they decide to change them. Work is not always fun and life can get repetitive.
What Aakanksha said: I think that it is about people doing work. These people think this is rather boring.
What Mummy said: It is about someone going to work and hating their surroundings, environment and job.
FishingMan
At the moment, I have been naming all my files ''fishingMan'' and so on. That was just the name that I gave it because it was simple and easy. I jsut thought that I should keep you updated, so I think that this is the nearly fnished product without sound! enjoy!
Sounds
I have started to look for sounds and I thought that it would be really easy, but apparently it is really hard. I have looked all over garage band, and have found that it doenst have many sounds that I was looking after. I have tried to put some sounds inot the video, but they didnt really work. I have recently tried to look up some more sounds on google and have had many good findings! It was so much fun, But i dindt think that would take so long and be so hard. I am still looking for a name which is really annoying me. I have found a burp sound on google. Actually, i have found many burping sounds and i need to see which one that I like the best. I also forgot to tell you that everyone said that I should also get my fish to laugh, but unfortunetly I don't think I can. I have tried heaps if things to make it laugh, but I have failed miserably. I have also found a few whistling noises and a footstep noise. I found the footstep noise on garage band which I was happy about, but was really hard to find and I found it at the last minute.
Ipads and Open day
On open day, we got to play with iPads. It was heaps of fun. Mr P showed us this program that we could use as animation-ish. I really liked the program and I did a few short videos. I also downloaded the app onto my own iPad and have done heaps of videos at home. In that lesson, Izzy, Meghna and I also did Glee on Mr P's iPad which was fun, funny and entertaining. I just liked looking and playing with the iPads and just relaxing because this lesosn was on the last period on a friday afternoon. I also found out that I can get a graphics calculator on an iPad that does everything a year 10 students needs to use in a graphics calculator. I thought that was pretty amazing because a graphics calculator is really expensive, and when I need a graphics calculator, i am sure that someone would have put out an app that covers everything that I will need that is even better than the app that they have now.
Assignment and Name
We also got given an assignment which we have to complete before the end of term. I still have to do this and I hope to do that soon. Also, I need to make up my credits. I need to think of a name that I want to give my video and opening and ending credits.
The lesson that I forgot what Mr P called it
On one Friday, I forgot what Mr P called it but it was where everyone in the class showed each other what we had done and how far we had come. It was really interesting to see what everyone thought of my film. And I got some laughs and compliments. I also got some recommendations in sounds and I think when I am doing my sounds I will keep the recommendations in mind. Some of them include a burping fish, a whistling man and some splashes in the background. I can’t wait to do my sound because I think that it will be really fun and exciting. I almost forgot that we don’t really have much time left. That counts for all subjects!
School
So in school, I had to edit it in other ways that I wasn’t capable of until Mr P helped me. I cut even more out, and I slowed down sections and sped up sections. I showed it to some of my friends, and they told me that I should sped up some sections that I didn’t do anything to, and in one spot, I had slowed it down, but they thought that I should speed it up, so I listened to them and actually liked it better than before. This is what I think will be my final video without the sound. This took me a long time because Mr P and I had some trouble getting the right format to work in iMovie. We finally found out that we had to make it into a DVD file or something like that. After we did that, it worked fine. However I had another problem when I came back and wanted to change something, it didn’t work, so I had to change it into a normal file that I could put into stop motion, and then transfer it out of stop motion into a DVD file and then back into iMovie to work it properly again. I thought that I was pretty smart in doing so because it worked really well.
Whole video
This is my whole video. I have not edited it this, and it is really bad, but I thought that I should up load this to show how far I have come and how much I have worked to get it edited. The thing that is wrong with this is that I tried to move the camera and the person at the same time and it really didn’t work out. It looked really stupid and funny now that I look back on it. I am glad that I changed it!
Failed attempts
Here are some of the practise videos that really annoyed me and angered me. Haha.
In this one, you can see that the arms are really floppy, and the eyes are really weird and that the legs and pants are really weird and look totally funny. The mouth also looks retarded as well
Man vs. Man
Im going to show you the difference between my two men. This one was the original, and I had some help from Sarah for the hair. I dont have a picture, but I have a video that I will use to show you instead.

Pros
- easier to film because it is smaller
- easier to manuvere because it is smaller and stiffer because I havnt been touching it and nothing has touched the fresh new clay

- It took me a while to make it when I should have been able to use the old man
- It was nearly the same size as my fish (which was funny, but I guess more realistic)

The day of filming
The day of filming was torture for me. I woke up at about 9 am and started to film. It started really annoying me and I couldn't stand him up any more and he tried to to fall down alot and it was really starting to annoy me. I did many goes and all of them were fails. But I kept trying to film anyways because I had no choice because I had chose to film on the last couple of free days of the holidays. I just kept filming and re filming and re filming and re filming. I also had to take care of filming matters. I tried heaps of different angles. It was really annoying sitting on the floor for ages and not moving and also trying to keep my hands out of the shots. When my mum came home from shopping, I asked her if she knew how to keep my man up and she said to stick toothpicks into the body that will make it stand straight. Oh I forgot to mention that the body was kind of morphing and getting all wrecked. After I had put the toothpicks into my man, I tried to film again and it actually worked and stood up and walked! I was soooo amazed! I did a few more takes and then I decided that I should make a whole new man because not only was this one looking really tattered and wrecked, it was also getting held down, and you couldn't even see the legs and you couldn't tell the difference between the kankles and the pants. The shoes were also getting really big and the actual man was just really annoying me. As Mr P said before, it is easier to film with smaller things, so I remade my man smaller and better. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't have enough clay to make another one because I couldn't use the same clay from the other man. (I forgot to tell yo that the other man was getting all fluffy from falling down all the time and was getting black and didn't look nice.) I finally made my man, all clay because I figured out that using paper for the head didn't really make a difference. So I put took picks through the head and the body, and then through the body and both legs. I made the shoes again, but smaller so that when they got squished they wouldn't be really big. When I re filmed AGAIN, it went really well and I was happy when it was all finished. I am sorry to say, but the happiest memory of that day was when my fish ate my man and i had the chance to muck up my man and destroy it for good. When I filmed I didn't know how to save it and then work back to it because I knew that I had to make changes and edit it. I saved it so many times in heaps of different ways and I tried to call friends but I didn't know if it would work and if they were right. I finally decided that one of the ways that I saved the file would be right. Also, just in case it didn't work, I saved all the pictures as pictures so that I could put them all into stop motion if I needed to. That made be secure that one of the ways would work. After that, I started to edit it alittle bit and I took out some of the stuff that I didn't think I needed. I used the camera to go high and then back low again and it didn't really turn out so I thought that I would take it out, I took it out and my film looked alot better. The film used to be 1 minute and 30 seconds, but after i edited it, it was only approximately 30 seconds. After I think that I thought that I had done enough work on the holidays, I thought that I could finish. I closed the laptop and packed it away to bring it back to school.
My fish
I blogged before about the fishies that I had used as inspiration. Here are the photos that I used mostly.
I used this fish as the basic shape and everything for my actual fish except that I didnt use those colours. I really liked the eyes and the fins and especially the tail. I also like dthe smile that really wanted to keep.
I used the colours of Flounder because I like this fish because its happy and positive and reminds me of the little mermaid. Blue and yellow were good colours because the audience would not be expecting the fish to eat the man when it looks as cheerful and happy and innocent as my fish.
I got my inspirtaion for the dots from this fish. I used the idea on the dots from the tail on this fish on my tail and fin. I also liked these colours but I did not think that these colours would not look good in my film.
Making my fish -
It was just a yellow sphere, and then I covered half of it with blue plasticine. I then made the eyes like the same fish above. I made the circle the eyes are standing on with blue to keep two colours. I then made the mouth with the same blue. I thought of making it like the same mouth as above but I thought it would look weird. I also tired to do it but it was really hard to make it and it didn’t look good on my fish. I made the fin on top of the head and the tail with just blue. But then I decided to put some yellow dots on the fins and tail so that it would be a lot more colourful and different. I thought about doing dots on the whole body with yellow dots on the blue body and blue dots on the yellow body but I though that it would be too much. I really like my fish and I thought that it was really cute and that it turned out like I had planned it. I thought that my research helped me a lot with what I wanted my fish to look like and some colour schemes and different ideas that I could put into one whole idea to make it really good. The top picture is of the best picture that I could find of my fish. I threw away my man and my everything else except my fish. I dont know why this is, but I kept it. Although its no use because the face is all messy from eating my man.
